CHECK LIST

AS A COACH I WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A REASONABLE STANDARD OF CARE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

1. Properly instruct correct technique.      
2. Use proper instructional methods.      
3. Use proper progression of skills.      
4. Warn athletes and parents of the inherent dangers in the sport of pole vaulting.      
5. Provide proper supervision.      
6. Warn of the dangers of using improper technique.      
7. Provide a safe environment: a) facilities, b) equipment, c) properly constructed facilities.      
8. Maintain equipment properly.      
9. Provide equipment free of defects.      
10. Provide proper size equipment.      
11. Provide protective equipment for safety. i.e. Helmets.      
12. Provide health care: a) pre-injury. 1) Physical exams and conditioning, b) emergency care for injured athlete, c) post injury care.      
13. Enforce rules and regulations: a) State Rules, b) Rules of the Game, c) District Rules, d) School Rules, e) Specific Sport Rules.      
14. Classify and group participants for competition based on skill level, age, maturity, sex, size, and experience.      
15. Transport students safely to competition and practice sites.      
16. Provide written documentation of my training program.
