I moved the scripts to a new directory and the above problems seem to have vanished. Weird but I'll take it.

New question: What do these parts mean?

$countpages = 0; # The Current Page Count
$pages_needed = 0; # Total Number of Pages Needed

I mean, what impact do they have on the bbs' appearance. Do they limit the number of pages displayed or ... ?
