- member of the 15 foot club, won state and meet of champs as a sophmore, indoor state record holder, 155 pounds 5foot 11 inches tall
1) What is the single most important thing in the Pole Vault? - the plant, it is important to have a high and aggressive plant at the point of take off
2) What makes a great approach? - be aggressive dont back off of the pole
3) What makes a great plant? - straight right arm, firm left arm
4) What makes a great swing up? - toes up, point your toes back as you swing to an upside down position
5) What makes a great top? - a good push a throw off of the pole
6) What advice do you have for the off/pre season? - pole runs pole runs and pole runs
7) What are your favorite drills for the Pole Vault?
8) What advice do you have on a Vaulters grip width? - what ever is comfortable to the vaulter, but not too wide
9) What advice do have on a height of a Vaulters hand-hold?- hand grip is determined by the vaulters speed and stregnth
10) What advice do you have on how to keep the Pole Vault Safe? - follow the safty rules , they are there for your safety
