1) What is the single most important thing in the Pole Vault?
2) What makes a great approach?
3) What makes a great plant? - keeping pole at eye level all the way
into the box
4) What makes a great swing up? - stiff left arm and laying back.
5) What makes a great top? - upper body strenght and body movment.
6) What advice do you have for the off/pre season? - even workout for strenght and endurance.
7) What are your favorite drills for the Pole Vault?
8) What advice do you have on a Vaulters grip width? - not wider than the width of your shoulders.
9) What advice do have on a height of a Vaulters hand-hold?- starting out, left hand, (for right handers)
should be at height at bar.
Then Intermediate, right hand.
All this is oopen for suggestions.
10) What advice do you have on how to keep the Pole Vault Safe? - When vaulting have a catcher, other wise,
treat it like an egg. stand it up when
possible, I dont like it on direct grass.
