1) What is the single most important thing in the Pole Vault?
2) What makes a great approach? - A good run keeping the pole under control
3) What makes a great plant? - Be early, not late, and have arms extended
in the corect position
4) What makes a great swing up? - To hold the trail leg back as long as posible
and to swing it up as fast as posible, while
rowing the arms
5) What makes a great top? - Staying under control, and close to the pole,
while upside down
6) What advice do you have for the off/pre season? - Condition by running and lifting, and do drills
7) What are your favorite drills for the Pole Vault? - Wall plants, invert drills
8) What advice do you have on a Vaulters grip width? - The leghth of your arm untill you get better
then you can shorten it
9) What advice do have on a height of a Vaulters hand-hold?- Start low and as you get better and more
comfortabe, move it up
10) What advice do you have on how to keep the Pole Vault Safe? - Have a coach that knows what he is doing
