- I am a member of the 16 foot club as a junior in HS and i have not lost a meet yet, (not a high school meet)
1) What is the single most important thing in the Pole Vault? - the run, it has to be tall and fast
2) What makes a great approach?
3) What makes a great plant?
4) What makes a great swing up? - turn toes up and let it go
5) What makes a great top?
6) What advice do you have for the off/pre season? - pole runs pole runs and then some more po;e runs
7) What are your favorite drills for the Pole Vault? - short run, 6 strides
you can do many more of these in practice than you can the longer runs
8) What advice do you have on a Vaulters grip width?
9) What advice do have on a height of a Vaulters hand-hold?- depends on his speed, and weather he has balls
10) What advice do you have on how to keep the Pole Vault Safe?
