General Information

The USATF National Pole Vault Summit is moving to a new venue.  Held for the last eight years at the Holiday Inn and the Reno Livestock Center, the 2000 Pole Vault Summit will move tot he Altantis Hotel and the Reno Convention Center, located on South Virginia Street.  The move is necessary to accommodate the increase in numbers and the space needed for lectures, drills and competition.  Also new this year will be a staggered schedule where elementary level, junior high school and high school coaches and athletes will attend lecture and drill sessions on Friday morning and afternoon.  They will be joined by the college, open and masters athletes and coaches and fans for opening assembly and the invitational Vault on Friday evening.

Lectures for College, Open and Masters will be held on Saturday morning, with their competition in the afternoon and evening.  Added to the schedule will be a special session for elementary, junior high school and high school parents who accompany their child to Reno.
